Tomias was an adult Crystal Dragon that had also been captured by the Elven hunters, they had already attached an Elven made collar to his neck which inhibited his breath attacks and his mystic powers, he looked up as the hunters hauled a new dragon into the encampment, he did his best to get a good look but his chains made it difficult to move, soon he saw that it was a youngling, barely old enough to fly on it's own, he watched as they chained her near him but ignored the idea of giving her a collar because of her youth, he moved his head closer so he could speak "try to be calm child" he whispered as the elves moved away "the hunters may do you more harm if you prove troublesome"
"I have no one to come after me now." Angelus starts to cry softly. "My mom was killed by them. My dad I never knew him."
Tomias lowered his head slightly and closed his eyes "I am sorry to hear of your loss" he said solonmly before opening his eyes and looking at the child once more "but that is all the more reason to calm down and survive this ordeal, you must be patiant and it will be rewarded" he watched the youngling closely "your mother wanted you to live and I will do all I can to make sure you do, freedom will follow....in time"
"Thank you. My name is Angelus. What's yours?" She tilted her head alittle feeling better that she has someone to talk to.
Tomias smiled as Angelus calmed down "I'm Tomias of the Crystal Range, it's a pleasure to meet you young Angelus" he glanced at the young dragons colours and markings "you are quite a unique little dragon, I haven't seen many like you in my travels" he admitted remembering all the unique and rare dragons he's encountered in his many years.
"yes well my mom was a law dragon. But my dad was a criminal dragon. So that makes me a Chaos dragon?" She asked him. Knowing that he looks very old and knowledgeable.
"I've heard of Chaos Dragons all right" Tomias said calmly as he fixed Angelus with a piercing stare "the Dragons of Fate I met with about 500 years ago called them 'dragons of mixed omens' some heralded peace and understanding while others wraught death and unending wars" he watched Angelus closely to see what his reaction to this information would be.
She shudders at the thought of war. "I hate war."
Tomias smiled “on that we can agree” he said kindly “I have seen too many good friends meet useless deaths in such wars, and I am in no hurry to see more of the same” he glanced around the hunters had gone into their tents to eat and they were pretty much alone “now, as to our immediate problem” he began thinking about a means of getting them out of the chains, then to removing the collar around is neck.
"What are you thinking?" She asked a little bit scared at the answer. "Please don't do anything stupid."
Tomias chuckled quietly "I have been around for nearly a thousand years, I am not about to show stupidity at my age" as he closed his eyes he focused what little of his magic he was able to muster under his current condition and began to gather it near the center of his chest, the reddish crystal on his chestglowed faintly, not enough to be noticed by the guards but enough for Tomias to feel a small warmth from it.
"Why is your chest glowing?" She looked around nervously. "What if you get caught?"
"I'm gathering what little magic I'm able to, this collar prevents me from using upper level dragon magic, but a minor spell to kick-start your breath attack should be enough for you to spring us both" Tomias explained "and the elves are all in their tents feeding at the moment, they think us harmless right now, because of my collar and your youth" he turned to face Angelus "are you ready, we will need to be quick if we are to escape before they realize what's happened?"
"I think so. I haven't really flown all that much yesterday was my first day flying." Angelus didn't sound sure of herself.
"the effect of my spell is temporary" Tomias explained "but it should allow you access to your breath attack for a few minutes, so we'll need to make that time count" he continued to look at Angelus as the glow in his chest now moved up his neck toa similar crystal on his forhead.
Scarlett's footsteps sounded around the hall, echoing off the walls giving away the fact she was slowly coming closer to the Dragons prisons. She held the book in her hand, one fingee trailing along the line she read, she mumbeled to herself as she walked around in an absent minded way.
Angelus was wondering what type of breath attack she might have. "What might my breath look like?"
Scarlett heard voices. "Huh"? She closed the book and walked holding it with one hand, her eyes narrowed as she got ever closer to Angelus and Tomias.
"at first you will have the black flames" Tomias explained quietly "but in time the true powers of a Chaos dragon will emerge as random breath attacks, just as chaos cannot be predicted, neiher will the effects of a Chaos Dragon's breath attack" he spotted the nearby hume "we havn't much time left before we are discovered, we must act now!"
"Yes sir." Angelus starts to try her breath attack. At first she doesn't get it but then after a moment some black flames come out. Surprised she suddenly stops the flames.
Scarlett fell backwards out of shock as she saw the flames, her eyes widened, she regained her sensed and quickly darted over to a wall to try and sound and alarm and alert everyone. "QUICK". She yelled.
Tomias looked at Angelus "you must be fast, time is of the essance" he said hastilly as he heard the hume's cry and knew if they didn't act fast then their escape would be thwarted.
"Well here goes nothing." Angelus looks at Tomias's collar and starts a jet of flame concentrated on a weak point of it. A few seconds later it starts to break.
Scarlett just stared, wondering what to do, if they got out the cage could she really stop them. She got her staff out, the end glowing a shadowy purple as she pointed it at them."Dont you dare move". She said stern words but her voice was laced with fear.
Tomias' collar shattered andthe dragon looked at the Hume as white flames emerged from the corners of his mouth "don't be foolish small one" he said calmly "we only wish for the one thing you would deny us, freedom" he looked at Angelus' chains and let loose with his crystal fire, destoying the chains at the point where they connected with the ground, then he turned to see to is own, in no time the chains went slack and the ones binding his legs and wings slid off, he stood up on all fours and looked at the Hume again with his piercing green eyes, he said nothing as he appeared to look into the Hume's very soul.
Scarlett stared at Tomias, she dropped her staff and began to shake, she looked right back at him. She brought her hands up to her mouth to cover it and try and staple her breath."But...
you...can't......leave..". Her words were stuttered.
"and why" Tomias said slowly and calmly "is that?" he continued to look directly into the girls eyes "we have not done you any harm, nor have we shown malice towards you or your kinsmen"
Scarlett's purple eyes were wide, staring at the dragon with a mixture of fear, awe and confusion, why was he not ripping her apart. "Do..do your worst". She gritted and bowed her head, expecting to be killed, accpeting she couldn't fight him.
"Tomias, lets leave her we don't have much time." Angelus said to give the girl some relief.
Tomias glanced at Angelus "this one is....differrant from the others" he said quietly before looking back at the Hume "I have no intention of harming you little one" he said to her "I never intended to harm you" he spread his wings and looked at Angelus again "lets go" he said simply as he lifted from the ground, continuing to look at the Hume.
"What"? Scarlett looked a little stunned and the dragons just peacfully began to fly away."Aren't you going to eat me"? She looked dumb founded, she'd read in books and been told of the brutality dragons harboured for humans and elves.
"No we won't. Besides I Don't think you'll taste good anyways." Angelus starts to follow Tomias.
Tomias chuckled slightly at Angelus' little joke before calling to the Hume one last time "perhaps our paths will cross again little one, and then we might be able to talk a little more" he smiled again before leading the way to the distant mountain range.
Scarlett watched them fly away, she narrowed her eyes and looked down."Maybe". She then walked away.
Tomias glanced back and saw the hume walking away, he smiled "I knew there was something special about her" he said quietly to himself, another flap of his wings and he began to pick up speed "follow me youngling" he called to Angelus "we can take refuge in the mountains up ahead"
"I'll try and keep up with you, but remember i'm smaller than you!" Angelus yelled to Tomias.
Tomias sloed down slightly so Angelus could keep up "I almost forgot, you're still quite new to flying" he maintained a nice steady pace as they neared the mountain range.
At the mountain range Ronin was training with some guards. There was a mage there to heal the ones that got wounded badly while training.
Tomias' eyes narrowed at the sight of the humans, looked back at Angelus "stay here and out of sight" he said calmly as he slowly began to decend towards the humans, making sure his wings made enough noise to let them know he was near.
Ronin was the first to hear the dragons wings beating up and down. "That's enough training for now. We have a visitor."
Angelus obeyed Tomias' orders and stayed out of sight.
Tomias landed on a rocky outcropping near where the humans were gathered and watched intently, he remained silent as he tried to decide whether they were friends or enemies, he noticed one wore a unique armour and carried a strange sword, he lowered his head down so he could get a better look, all the while remaining silent and calm.
Ronin sheaths her sword and starts walking to the dragon. "And how may I help a noble looking dragon as yourself?"
Tomias smiled slightly such a poilte human he thought to himself "my companion and I were merely searching for a place to rest and remove the remains of our old bindings" he held up his left arm to show the remains of his shains still shackled to it "we've just escaped from some hunters you see" he lowered his arm and looked up towards Angelus and let out a small roar, a signel to let her know it was safe to come down.
Angelus swooped down and landed awkwardly on the ground.
Ronin saw this. "Healer take care of these wounds if there are any. Lets see about those chains... Everyone get the chains off now. You look too powerful to be captured."
"I was caught off guard" Tomias replied "I was distracted by something an old friend of mine had told me and it gave those hunters a chance to surprise me and slap one of their special collars on me" he allowed the warriors and healers to approach he didn't have any serious injuries, so all he had to worry about were his chains, he continued to converse with the warrior "I'm sorry" he said suddenly "I haven't introduced myself, have I?" he smiled and bowed slightly "I am Tomias of the Crystal Range, and this is my companion and former 'cellmate' Angelus" he gestured towards Angelus with his head.
"Ah. So we meet at last Tomias. I heard great things about you from my leader. My name is Ronin. As you can tell i'm a Celestial Knight." Ronin said with apparent awe at meeting Tomias.
Tomias looked at Ronin with slight surprise "I thought something about you seemed familiar" he said with a smile "how is Jaren these days?"
"He's doing good. He made it to the top. But why is Angelus so small?" Ronin said with wonder.
"it is because she is still a youngling, barely old enough to fly" Tomias explained "her mother trying to protect her from the hunters when they were out on her first flight"
Ronin looks at Angelus who is trying to get away from the knights and healer. "Guys leave her alone for now. She doesn't trust you yet. But get her some food will ya?"
Angelus looks at Ronin. She looked like she has sorrow in her eyes. Angelus starts to cry out for her mom. She curls up into a ball.
Ronin says to the knights "Get the food and put it over there," Pointing to a lone tree she said "that's where I want it." The knights hurried to get the food for Angelus. "Tomias do you want anything?"
"some food would be fine" Tomias stated simply as he shook off the last of his chains and turned his attention to Angelus "be calm" he said in a gentle tone "these humans are good people, the female I was talking to is an acuantance of one of my old pupils, the Celestial Knights are peacekeepers of sorts and would never wish us harm, they only wish to heal your wounds and remove your chains" he explained in an attempt to calm her down enough for the humans to approach her.
Ronin waits a few feet away to see what Angelus says and does.
Angelus whimpers a little. "If you trust them, i'll trust them." She starts to get up but falls back down. "I think I broke my leg when I landed."
Ronin hears this and motions to the healer. Ronin walks up to Angelus. "Now this person is a Healer. The Healer can help your leg feel better. Will you allow him to help?"
Angelus looks at Tomias then back at Ronin. She nods her head slowly.
Tomias watched as the healer came over to Angelus' leg and began to chant, he watched calmy with a reassuring smile on his face.
As The healer finished, Angelus gets up to try her leg. "Thank you, it feels much better."
Tomias nodded as he looked at the leg "you do fine work healer" he said appreciativly "no sign of the injury, it's as if it was never there" he then looked at Angelus "our host have also provided some food to help us regain our strength" he motioned towards the tree where the food had been layed out "if you are hungry that is"
Angelus goes over to the tree and grabs a small deer. she goes alittle bit away from the tree and starts to munch on the deer.
"Tomias, I haven't heard back from Jaren for a few days." Ronin said feeling a little worried.
Tomias looked over at Ronin "that can't be a good sign" he said with a slightly worried tone, he turned from them and let loose a blast of white flame into a small clearing, the flame remained where it struck and Tomias began to drag one of his claws from his left hand from the center of the flame outwards, slowly using the flame to carve out dragon runes in white flame on the ground, all the while he was muttering an ancient dragon language, he eyes never wavering from the center of the fire circle he was creating.
Ronin just watched without saying a word.
Tomias soon finished his work and looked at Ronin "this is the circle of truth" he explained "it serves two purposes, the first is a means of forcing the truth out of a person by placing them in the center of the circle and asking them questions, they will be compelled to say only the truth" he looked rather proud of this spell, since he had created it nearly three hundred years ago "the second purpose is what we will be using it for, ask the flame what you wish to know and it will reveal the unaltered truth of what you ask of it" he then gestured to Ronin to go ahead and ask the flames about Jaren.
Ronin walks up to the flames. "What happened to Jaren?"
The flames crackled for a moment before a large crystal shard began to form from all the smaller shards that danced around in the white flame, it appeared in the center of the circle and images began to appear inside it.
Ronin watched intently not saying a word or moving.
Angelus looks up from her meal to see the flames. She thinks it was Tomias who did it so she goes back to her meal.
An image of Jaren appeared in the crystal, he was bound and chained in a dark room, his armour cracked and broken, he was struggling to free himself as a dark shadow began to envelop him followed by a malicious growling voice "I think that's enough spying" the voice said, suddenly the crystal went black before shattering, then the flames died down before extinguishing themselves.
"But how could he have been captured?" Ronin says with increased anger. "He had guards with him!"
Angelus hears Ronin ranting and starts to get a little bit afraid. She naws on the last bit of meat for a bit to see what happens.
Tomias' face seemed grave as he looked at the spot where the crystal had been "it would seem that Jaren has run afoul of a criminal dragon, one who carries dangerous powers" he explained in a dark tone "I know the voice, his name is Tagen, he is a black dragon and and was well trained in dragon magic, he believes all magic belongs to the dragons, mostlikely he seeks to learn the secrets of the Celestial Blade, which is why Jaren still lives"
Ronin starts to pace then stops. "How are we to defeat Tagen?"
"I can take you to the vally of flame, where he resides" Tomias replied "I'll aid you all I can, but it will not be easy to overpower him, but it can be done, his teacher never taught him all he knew, so he may be able to beat Tagen"
"How many knights should I take with just incase?" Ronin asked politely.
Tomias smiled slightly "surely you've noticed that even the elite warriors that accompanied Jaren must have been slain if you have not heard a single word of Jaren's capture until now?" he said calmly "your current team would be sufficiant to rescue him while Tagen is preoccupied battling his old teacher" he explained.
Ronin's eyes went wide. "You're his teacher?"
Tomias nodded slowly "one of the few I regret teaching, he was young, eager, willing to learn, I saw great potential in him, but there was greed in his his soul as well, I chose to ignore it until I could no longer allow it, but by the time I began to attempt to teach him patiance it was too late, he had left with his plan to 're-aquire' the magic of the world" his head lowered slightly "I made a grave error in judgement back then" he raised his head, a look of determination on his aged face "now it's time to fix that mistake"
"I shall help in any way possible." Ronin said with renewed vigor.
Tomias looked at Ronin and smiled "thank you, but you will need to lead your team and find Jaren, but make sure you also retrive his sword, the last thing I want to have happen is Tagen learning its secrets"
"Lets get ready to go. But what about Angelus?" Ronin looks at her.
Angelus growls a little at Ronin then looks at Tomias. "I don't want to be alone."
Tomias looked at Angelus with a stern expression "then come with us, but you must follow my instructions, understood? if I say 'hide', then you hide, if I say 'fight' you must fight, and if I say 'flee and don't look back' you must do just that, do you understand?"
Angelus gulps. "Yes I understand. I don't know how to fight though."
Ronin grabs an oppurtunity to say something. "We will teach you how to fight then."
Tomias nodded "since you are still too young to use your breath attacks, you will need to learn how to fight using a dragons most basic weapons, your claws, fangs, and wings" he said as he counted off each one in his mind.
Angelus was skeptical but said "Alright"
Tomias looked to Ronin "gather your men and gear, we need to move fast" he then looked to Angelus "we shall train you as we travel, since time is of the essence" he stood up and spread his wings, a look of grim determination on his face.
Ronin nodded to Tomias. She turns and walks to the middle of camp and yells at the top of her lungs: "We have a new mission people. Get your gear and everything you need and meet up here. It would be good to do it now too we need to save someone."
Sordino watched for afar, crouching down a few metres away from the camp. He tilted his head slightly as he viewed the dragons and their friends. He made an odd little noise and began to nibble the end of his gloved finger. Quite happy in the delusion they didn't already know he was there watching them.
Tomias watched as the warriors moved around gathering what they believed they'd need to rescue their leader from Tagen, all the while Tomis' face seemed slightly grim, he knew that Tagen had grown strong since he left Tomias' side and he had done his best to avoid this confrontation for as long as he could, but to delay now would mean betraying Jaren and all those in the Celestial Knights he has trained, Tomias knew there may even be the possibility that he would not be coming back from the coming battle, and he was prepared to pay for his folly with his very life if need be.
Sordino scuried forwards to get a close glimpse of the dragon, he was on his hands and knees, trecking through the landscape carefully, and silently in his eyes, though he was making a fair bit of noise.
Tomias turned his head slowly and looked at the new arrival, he was silent as he regarded the creature with curiosity and intrest, he had never seen anything like this in all his many years he lowered his head slightly to get a closer look, there was something about this creature that told Tomias that it was safe to do so.
Sordino, was now aware he had alerted the dragon, so hiding was pointless. He jumped up and charged at Tomias, leaping quite high and landing close to his foot. He reached out and grabbed one of the dragons claws, he yanked gently and looked up in awe.
Tomias was slightly surprised at the creatures actions "like a small child!" he said under his breath as he lifted his clawed hand up, lifting the creature with it and lowered him into his other hand "well, hello there!" he said quietly with a gentle smile on his face.
Soridno hung onto Tomias' hand quite happily, patting the scales every now and then as if making a rythm. He bobed his head and laughing, pointing at Tomias. "Draaaaa". He made an odd noise, which, to him was how he said dragon.
Tomias' next words were spoken in a strange tongue, to most it would sound like a series of growls, hisses and rumbles but it was actually the rarly spoken dragon language, the rough translation was "do you understand my words little one?" he was curious if the creature was one of the few who knew this old tongue.
Sordino's eyes light up, he nodded furiously and made a few other awkwards sounds, sluring the words as he spoke back at the dragon, babbling and missing out a few letters, but his sentence made sense. "Yep yep, dwagon you are, fwend"?
Tomias smiled and nodded "I'm indeed a friend, I am Tomias, a Crystal Dragon from the Crystal Range, a land to the far north" he lowered his head closer to the creature "and what might your name be?"
"Sordino". Sordino yelled it, he wanted everyone to hear it, he flung his arms out dramatically and began to rock on his feet, humming and giggling. He suddenly leaped up onto Tomias' shoulder and crawled on all fours towards his wings.
Tomias chuckled lightly as he watched Sordino climb on his back, seeing such innocence was a welcome change from brooding over the dark events to come "Sordino, where are you from?" he asked kindly, curious about the origins of such a being.
Sordino was sat by the joint of the wing, he began to crawl up it with cat like grace, using both hands and legs to keep his balance and walk along the spine of the wing."Here". he hummed.
Tomias slowly and gently flexed his wings "and your family is here too?" he asked politely.
"What's dat"? Sordino grinned as the wing was flexed, he walked up further until he stood directly at the tip of the spine of the wing, he balanced slightly, then lifted one foot, he began to flap his arms, pretending he was flying.
Tomias seemed concerned as he replied "they are your parents" he said calmly "a mother and father, as well as siblings" he tried to explain as best as he could.
"Never heard of it, I dunt have any of them". Sordino balanced again, he then flicked and landed so he was doing a hand stand, holding onto the end of the wing.
"then who has been caring for you?" Tomias asked with a tone of concern.
"Sordino cares for Sordino". As on cue, Sordino slipped off of the wing and fell through the air towards the ground, he shrieked a little.
Tomias flexed his wing into a scoop and allowed Sordino to slide into his waiting hand "you must be careful" he said in an almost fatherly tone.
Sordino made a 'weee' noise as this happened, he looked up at Tomias and just grinned brightly, though, with the hat and mask this really couldn't be seen.
Tomias slowly shook his head and smiled "I wish I could take you with me child, but where we are headed you will not be safe, we fly to face a very bad person" he explained.
"Sordino can help". Sordino and looked at him, reaching out. "Can I come, oh please, I'll be good, I like dragoos....they are friendly".
"we are going to meet a very bad dragon, and he is not friendly I'm afraid" Tomias replied.
"But, I want to come". Sordino hoped onto the ground, he sat down and stared at Tomias, he tilted his head, his large hat sliding a little. "I'll follow you forever and ever and ever and ever and ever". He didn't seem to be stopping his sentence any time soon.
Tomias lowered his head so he could look deeply into Sordino's eyes with those eyes of his that seemed to look into your very soul, his eyes never wavered as he stared silently at the small creature.
Sordino stared back, wondering what was going on, however he did not break the stare, staring contests where fun.
Tomias finally exhaled deeply and nodded to the child "I sense there is something special about you, but I must ask you one thing" he said in a serious voice "this is the same request I made of my other companion Angelus, if I allow you to come along, do you promise to follow my instructions, if I ask you to hide, to follow the humans or to leave me behind and not look back do you promise to do so without hesitation?"
"Yep". Soridno hoped onto one foot and then onto the other in an excited motion.
Tomias rose his head "very well" he said calmly "you will ride on me while we travel, since Angelus seems uneasy around non-dragons" he looked over at Angelus as well as Ronin and the warriors "are you all ready for the journey ahead?" he asked using normal language now.
"Tip top". Sordino stood still, implying he was indeed ready.
Tomias smiled at Sordino before looking back at the others to hear their responses.
A silver flash went raced through the forest. ((Sorry.... I am coming into the RP late, but I don't know how or where to add my character....))
Tomias looked towards the forest when he felt the mystic energy eminating from it, he saw the light and did his best to watch it's path.
The flash raced through the tree branches, and then stopped. He saw silver just hanging in some trees ahead.
Sordino also turned hius attention to where TOmias was looking, he saw the light and instantly ran at it, arms out. "LOOK LOOK". He scretched in a non coherent way, he leapt up the tree and tried to make a grab for the light, which he did not realise was actually a living creature.
The silver 'light' leapt out of his path, moving to a different tree.
Tomias watched intently, his eyes never wavering as he followed the lights path.
Sordino stared at where the light had been, he zipped around locating it again, he then did exactly what he did a second ago and leapt over to the other tree."I wanna play". He saig, hoping on the branch.
The 'silver light' just looked at him. "I don't..." a female voice said.
Tomias smiled "he is harmless" he said kindly to the 'light' "he is like a small child actually" he lowered his head closer to the 'light'.
Sordino just sared at the light, he backed off when he heard the human voice, he crawled backwards almost like a cornered cat.
The shadows around the silver moved to reveal that of a young woman with the silver 'light' being actually her long silver hair. Her soft blue eyes just stared at Sordino and then at Tomias. She nodded.
Tomias smiled again "so this is your true form" he said calmly "I am Tomias of the Crystal Range, and this..." he turned hus head slightly to gesture in Sordino's direction with his head "is Sordino" he was tryin g to sound as polite as possible to the stranger to let her know she was among friends "might I inquire as to your name my dear?"
She looked at him. "I... should trust you with my name?" She looked distrusting.
Tomias smiled his gentle smile "only if you wish to milady" he said kindly "I will not force you, it is your choice to trust, yours and yours alone, if you'd prefer to keep your name to yourself then that too is your choice"
"Kailiza..." she said, softly. "My name is Kailiza..."
"Kailiza" Tomias repeated softly "that is a very lovely name, it is a pleasure to meet you Kailiza"
"Really?" She said, looking at him with distrust, there was something past her eyes that was dark and painful.
Tomias chuckled "my dear! I am over a thousand years old, I've met countless people and heard even more names, some human, some Elven and some Dragon and then there were the ones of other races you may never have heard of, so when I say you have a beautiful name, I'm being quite sincere" he crossed his arms in front of him as he lay down infront of Kailiza and Sordino to make himself more comfertable.
Kailiza huffed. "You're not the only one with years behind them... though I know that I'm not that old..." She looked up through the trees, wondering why she didn't distrust him as much as she normally did around men.
"my apologies" Tomias replied "I didn't mean to sound insulting, it must be my age catching up with me" he chuckled quietly "you seem to have something on your mind, talking about it may help to get your thoughts in order" he tilted his head slightly to the left "would you like to talk?"
Kailiza looked over at him. "What I was thinking was... why don't I distrust you... you're a.... man..."
((Just so you know, I built into Kailiza that she doesn't know what she really is....She knows she is something, but she doesn't know what... she knows she can do somethings... but that's it...))
Tomias "last I checked I was male, yes!" he closed his eyes in thought and the crystal on his chest began to glow a faint red "I see..." he said slowly "you have a painful past, one or more males hurt you and you are reluctent to let your heart trust another because of their deeds" he opened his eyes and looked at Kailiza and smiled "am I close?" he asked simply.
"Don't read my mind again..." she growled softly. "Stay out of my mind...." ((She's half Elf/half Chaos Dragon... she doesn't know.... just saying incase you haven't read...lol ^_^ ))
Tomias smiled at her "I didn't read your mind, I lack that gift" he pointed to the still glowing crystal on his chest with his left hand claw "I read your heart, it remembers things the mind would rather forget, this crystal is a part of me and grants me the power to see into the hearts of others, it aided me in choosing my pupils when they seek me out to learn from me"
"Males.... Females.... all are all the same....why am I telling you this?" She shook her head. "Pupils? To learn from you?" ((Rape/Abuse))
Tomias nodded "if they wish to, yes!" he replied "knowledge is ment to be passed on the next generation and I do just that, I pass on what I know to any who desire to learn, my crystal allows me to ensure that those pupils will take my teachings to heart and not abuse it" he explained casually.
Sordino rocked backwards and forwards as he listened to them talk, he occassionaly rocked to the side seemingly caught in his own little rythm.
"Do you.... also work with helping those with abilities...?" she whispered. "No.... forget it...."
"if the desire is genuine" Tomias replied quietly to her.
You don't know me.... I barely know myself... Tomias heard in his head, as Kailiza just stared at him.
Tomias smiled, he didn't seem surprised at Kailiza's trick "if you'd like, I may be able to help you learn about your past, we seem to have some time before my companions and I have to leave for battle so this would be a good time to make use of what I have to offer" he looked at her with those piercing eyes of his "that is if you wish it, take care in your decision, sometimes the truth can reveal things better left unknown"
"I know my past... I have no beginning and no future..."
"that isn't true child" Tomias said quietly "we all have our origins, and we all have a destiny as well" he leaned his head closer "do you not wish to learn where you came from and where you got your gifts?" he asked.
"My gifts saved me from...." she closed her eyes. What does it matter where my gifts come from....I was an unwanted child..... raised in a family that didn't see me as an adoptive daughter...
"if you learn the origins of your power then you'll be able to learn what you can truly be capable of and realize your true potential" Tomias explained "if you lean what the source of your gifts are then you'll get an idea of the upper limits of your powers, what you are truly capable of" Tomias said calmly.
Kailiza looked over at Sordino, then looked back at Tomias, just staring at him. Then explain this... she thought to him calmly. She lifted up her right hand, and a ball of energy formed in it, a ball of chaotic energy.
"chaos magic?!" Tomias whispered, genuinly surprised "only two creature were known to wield such energy" he looked at her, his face was a serious as it was when he learned that Angelus was a Chaos Dragon "Dark Elves and Chaos Dragons" he looked deep into her eyes "the Dark Elves were said to have died out long ago in ancient times, and Chaos Dragons like Angelus are few and far between" he concidered this new development in deep silence as he continued to watch Kailiza.
"I don't know who Angelus is... and for all we both know I'm one or the other or.... both together..." Kailiza said, staring into his eyes.
Tomias concidered this for a moment "the circle of truth might be of use here, one of it's poweres is the ability to show the unaltered truth based on whatever it is asked" he explained.
"The circle of truth...?" Kailiza asked softly. She didn't know why, but she wanted to trust him.
"it's something I created a while back" Tomias explained "it's a circle of Crystal Fire that I make that has two powers, the first allows forces whoever is placed into it's center to tell only the truth, and the second is what I just described just ask the flames a question and it will tell you the complete, unaltered truth" he smiled at her "all I need to do is form it and it will be ready to perform it's task flawlessly"
Kailiza nodded. "I want to know... I need to know...."
Tomias slowly rose up "as you wish" he turned to his left and took careful aim, taking in a deep breath he looked at a clear spot away from Kailiza, opened his mouth and shot out a blast of crystal flame, the flame danced on the spot where it had struck the ground, Tomias proceeded to drag one of his claws from his left hand from the center of the flame outwards, slowly using the flame to carve out dragon runes in white flame on the ground, all the while he was muttering an ancient dragon language, he eyes never wavering from the center of the fire circle he was creating, the tiny crystals danced along the flaming lines he was drawing on the ground.
Kailiza watched amazed, yet hiding her amazement. Her pointed elf-like ears listening to his muttering, not knowing what he was saying yet feeling a connection to the language.
Soon Tomias was finished his work and the Circle was complete, the flames fickered as tiny shards of cristal danced amonst the pure white flames, Tomias looked over at Kailiza "all thats left is to ask it your question and it will reveal the answers"
Kailiza sighed. "What am I....?" she asked softly, watching the white flames carefully.
No sooner had Kailiza finished asking her question that the flames near the center of the circle flared up, this was differant than when Ronin asked about Jaren, the crystals in the flames were flying to the center so quickly that they were like streaks of light convergeing in the center of the circle and forming a bright, glowing crystal the images that formed in the crystal were very clear the image of a beautiful elven woman and a large male Chaos dragon could be seen, the dragon seemed to change into a dashing human man, the two began to embrace and then the image flashed to the image of the woman holding a small baby, then flames covered the two and their faces contorted in silent screams of pain, and an elven man handing the infant to a couple that Kailiza recognized as her foster parents, then the crystal went clear once more.
Kailiza watched the images as silent tears raced down her cheeks. "Monsters... I was given to monsters.... I...."
"they played a part in shaping who you are" Tomias said calmly "there is an old saying amonst many races that I have met, it goes something like this, it's not how we came into this world that makes us who we are, it's what we do with the gift called 'life' that determines what we are and what we become"
Then I was meant to be used... as a servant growing up... as a sex toy... to that damn family.... 'daddy', 'mommy', 'brother'.... all.... she thought to him, glaring at him with tears in her eyes. "Monsters all.... children are the only innocent...."
Tomias lowered himself so that his head was at her eye level "I hope you realize not all humans are as cruel as the ones you grew up knowing, I've known quite a few who have proven to be quite kind to all races alike" he nudged her softly with the tip of his muzzle.
Kailiza continued to glare, tears still flowing, a small smile curled on her lips. "Tricks..." she whispered. All should die as they did.... no one will do as they did.... "Why give me to that family?"
The Crystal Flared up again at her question and revealed more images, this time it showed the Elven man who had given the infant to the couple standing next to Kailiza's elf mother he was older than her but was looking at her with a kind fatherly affection, then he was shown standing before older elves in a large chamber appearing to argue with them as he cradled the infant then one of them pointed away from the group as if demanding him to leave but they were glareing at the infant, the man looked horrifyed and heartborken as he walked away, the babe in his arms, a small tear trickling down his left eye, he was now seen draping a necklace around the infant before handing her to the humans, the woman took the necklace and placed it around her own neck as the images faded once more.
"That necklace....I always liked that necklace....." Kailiza looked lost. "I took it didn't I..." She looked in her pounch, and pulled out the necklace.
"it seems to me" Tomias said quietly "that that necklace was a gift for you from your grandfather, that is to say your mother's father, someone who seemed to have faught to keep you when the others wanted to cast you out" he said thoughtfully "and he wanted you to have that piece of your true family to keep with you always"
"Family...." she whispered. "I.... have to find them...." She held the necklace tight in her hand. "I have to find him...."
Sordino just stared at Kailiza, he tilted his head, he let out a very long over the top sigh, he then began to crawl around and towards her, his little had twirled around a large strand of her hair, he began to play with it shouting 'longu longu'.
Tomias nodded "I understand" he said quietly "perhaps I may be of assistance in that regard as well" he regarded her necklace as he spoke "most elven made artifacts carry inherant magical proporties, I m ay have something back at my home that can help us find where your necklace was crafted"
"You'd do that?" she said softly, looking at him with only slight distrust.
Sordino began to play ith Kailiza's hair, swishing it around in his little hands, holding small bunches of it and making them wave slightly, he hummed to himself as he did this.
Kailiza looked down at Sordino, confused as to why her hair seemed to be a plaything. She looked back at Tomias.
Tomias nodded "once we are done with rescuing Jaren, I would be more than happy to help you find your lost family" he said with a calm smile on his face.
Sordino tugged it a little, he then began to twirl it around his fingers.
"Jaren?" she asked, trying to ignore Sordino and the tugging of her hair.
"he's a former pupil of mine and the leader of the Celestial Knights" Tomias explained "he was taken prisoner by Tagen A dark Dragon who believes all magic rightfully belongs to Dragonkind and only to Dragonkind"
"Oh..." Kailiza said.
Tomias nodded "that's what everyone here is preparing for, we plan to travel to Tagen's lair in the Valley of Flame and rescue our friend"
Kailiza nodded. "I would like to help, though I don't know if I will be able to trust your friends as easily as I seem to be able to trust you..."
Sordino ran past Kailiza and ran up to Tomias, he hopped gently onto his claw and then up his arm to his wing, wanting to play again.
Tomias concidered this "trust is crucial in life or death situations, perhaps you can be of help with my end of the plan, my task is to face Tagen in battle so Ronin and her warriors will have the time and disraction they'd need to find Jaren in Tagen's lair" he explained as he slowly flexed his wing for Sordino to play on "I'm not as young as I used to be, and I'll need someone willing to watch my back when the flames start to fly"
"I'll watch your back...." she said softly.
Tomias smiled gently at her and bowed his head slightly "I accept" he replied in the same soft tone.
Kailiza looked up at Sordino, then at Tomias. "When?"
Sordino was now sitting cross legged, rocking backwrads and forwards causing his hat to wobble a little, he repeated what Kailiza said a few times."When when".
"as soon as the others are finished with their preperations, we'll be ready to go to the Valley of Flames" Tomias explained.
Kailiza nodded. She moved over to a tree, sitting down at it's base. She held the necklace that had been left with her, thinking over what she had seen in the flames.
Sordino did a cartwheel over to Kailiza, he sat down infront of her, just staring at her.
Kailiza cocked an eye at him.
"that's right" Tomias said in sudden realization "you two haven't been properly introduced, Kailiza! this is Sordino" he gestured from one to the other "Sordino, Kailiza" he said repeating the motion in reverse.
Sordino looked up at Tomias and then at Kailiza, he reached out and grabbed her hair again, he began to play with it and twirl with it, he was rather fascinated with long hair.
Kailiza juat ingored the playing of her hair. "Hello Sordino...."
Angelus finishes her meal. She looks up at Tomias and the two newcommers. She gets up and walks over to Tomias and lays down next to him. Whispering to Tomias "Who are these two? When did they get here?"
Tomias smiled to Angelus "They arrived just recently" he looked at Kailiza and Sordino "this is Kailiza" he nodded to the female and then to the child-like male "and this is Sordino, both of you, I'd like you to meet my young friend, Angelus" he said as he turned his head slightly towards the young Chaos Dragon.
Kailiza looked at the younger dragon, and nodded. "Hello..." she said softly. There was a dark chaotic power coming from the female elf.
"You look....." Angelus tried to think of something that wouldn't be mean. "You look strange to me."
"Strange? I... I just found out from Tomias what I apparently am...." she said softly, watching Angelus.
"Well I wasn't paying attention..." Angules said apologeticly. "I was eating."
"I didn't see you there..." she said softly. "I..." Kailiza just held up her hand and a ball of chaotic energy appeared.
Angelus looks at her in shock. "What are you?"
"According to Tomias... my father was a chaos dragon....my mother was an elf....." she said softly.
"That's a bit on the creepy side." Angelus says without thinking.
"Why?"
"I... I don't know. I was thinking out loud." Angelus says as nice as she can.
Tomias looked at Angelus out of the corner of his eye "you must forgive her" he said to Kailiza "she is still quite young and hasn't yet learned how to watch her choice of words"
"Yes Tomias...I do though wish to know why my being is 'a bit on the creepy side'...."
"it is....'rare' to see beings who possesss half-dragon blood" Tomias tried to explain.
Sebastian walked quietly with his pack over one shoulder, a straw hat adorning his head. Sebastian had decided to have his long blond hair in a ponytail today, to keep it from getting in his face, but the odd strand still hung in front of his eyes. It was odd for a person with the appearance of being of some importance to walk around in the middle of the night, but this fact seemed to escape Sebastian. Seemingly content to walk at whatever pace he wanted, he didn’t seem to notice the eyes, which had been watching him. As Sebastian continued down the path, he came to a slightly thicker wooded area than he’d been walking in just a few minutes ago. There was an odd rustling of leaves, and then they made themselves known. Several scruffy looking men appeared on the path in front of Sebastian, blocking his path, “ah, so now you show yourselves,” Sebastian remarked as he slowly set down his pack as if he were settling down to start a campfire. Sebastian even set down his straw hat on top of the bag, patting in slightly, so that it wouldn’t move. One of the bandits stepped forward with a menacing looking dagger, which he held out in front of him, “Give us all of your gold and we might let you live,” he demanded. Sebastian regarded the man with a quizzical look, as if pondering his options for a moment, “Um, no” was Sebastian’s reply. Some of the bandits grinned, as if hoping he’d say that, while others didn’t seem to care, as long as they got what they wanted. Finally, one of the bandits charged Sebastian, but suddenly, it was like Sebastian wasn’t there, but instead stood beside the man and grabbed his arm with such strength that the bandit could feel his bones being crushed. There was no scream, just wide-eyed shock, as the bandit’s arm fell useless. A demonic look came over Sebastian, as his human form faded away, a dragon taking his place. The bandits all screamed, but there was no hope for them now. The dragon that was Sebastian hunted them and quickly dispatched every one of them with startling efficiency. Once it was over, anyone walking past this spot would only find blood stained stone and trees. There was no sign of bandits left, Sebastian had hidden their body’s well. Returning to human form, Sebastian was dismayed to find that his hat had blown away in the tussle, but his pack remained untouched. “Ah well,” he muttered to himself, “guess I’ll just have to find another,” he said as he continued walking down the path, acting as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
There was a sudden sound of branches breaking and foliage being disturbed by something moving through the trees, fast. A man from one of the nearby villages came bursting into the clearing with a frantic look on his face, and fear. “Blood,” he panted between attempts to catch his breath, “There’s blood everywhere, up by the road!” he told in a panicked voice, “But there’s no bodies anywhere!” he finally added, as if to say it wouldn’t have been so bad if there would have at least been bodies there to explain what had happened. The villager took in the small group and then noticed Tomias. Swiftly he dropped to one knee, “Oh great and wise dragon, please forgive my intrusion, I only fear for the safety of my village,” he said as he looked at the dirt beneath him.
Tomias looked over at the man "blood and no bodies?!" he looked concerned as he rose "tell me all you know" he said in serious tone.
The villager stood, and told the story which described how he’d just returned from a neighboring village, and stumbled across a section of road where there were large pools of blood, but there were no bodies. Claw marks were on the ground and some trees indicating an animal of some kind, but other than those foggy details, the villager knew nothing more.
"this requires investigating" Tomias said as he concidered all he had been told he looked at the others "I'm going to the site of all the blood, I must learn what happened and if there is a genuine threat to the villages in the area"
The scene was still fresh. Blood pooled in pot holes and dripped from leaves, making a wet, sticky sound as it hit the stones below them. “This is the spot, great dragon,” the villager said as he stuck close to Tomias. His eyes darted in every direction as if he expected a large beast to emerge from the forest.
Tomias examined the marks on the ground, his eyes narrowed "these are from....a dragon?!" he said mostly to himself, his nostrils flared as he inhaled deeply trying to catch a scent "this is a peculiar smell" he growled quietly "there was a fight here.....one against many" he looked at the splatter of blood to his left "they were surprised....they didn't seem aware of what they encountered....was it a transformed dragon perhaps?" he was talking to himself, it was one of his ways of organizing his thoughts and it usually worked.
“Another Dragon?” the villager asked, overhearing Tomias thinking out loud. Suddenly there was a sound amongst the bushes as a well-dressed man came out, with long blond hair, carrying a straw hat. He patted off the needles and placed it on his head, and as he looked up he saw Tomias and the villager looking particularly frightened. “Oh, hello,” he said as he placed the hat on his head, “Forgive me for intruding, I was just looking for my hat,” he explained.
Tomias looked at the human "your scent is all over this place as well" he said calmly "you were here when this incident occured, weren't you?"
Kailiza walked up, observing the area. Her guard was up, one hand gripping the grip of her bow. Her elven ears listening for anything abnormal.
“Just got here,” the man lied as he walked out on the road, “and I’ve been looking for my hat, that may be why,” he said. The man didn’t bow, or seem particularly worried that he was talking to a dragon, he just acted like there was nothing wrong. Subconsciously, he stepped over pools of blood and continued down the road, on his way to another village.
"why are you lying so poorly?" Tomias stated as he rose up and spread his wings, it was a signal to Kailiza to stop the human "I'm not fond of liars"
Kailiza readied an arrow in her bow, aiming at the man. "Stop where you are!"
The man smiled, “Whatever would make you think that I’m lying?” the man asked with an almost innocent look, “I merely lost my hat and went looking for it, what makes you think I had anything to do with any of…this?” he asked as he gestured to the blood soaked ground. “I am but one man, surely you don’t think that one such as I would be capable of creating such a scene, besides, I don’t have a drop of blood on me!” he said in his defense. Then the man noticed the girl standing with the arrow pointed at his head, “Trust me girl, you’d never hit me,” he said without thinking.
Tomias growled slightly "you continue to lie, your scent is all over this place and it has been here as long as the other scents here, you were here when this blood was spilled, and then there's the fact that you reek of magic" the crystal on his forehead flashed "there is little to confirm your story, and your actions betray you as well"
“Fine,” the man resigned, “you want to know what happened here? Alright, a single person was walking down this path when a dozen or so bandits approached him with the intent to rob and or murder him, the man defended himself with powerful magic, and the bandits are no more, plus they will no longer plague the poor villagers, ta-da,” the golden haired man said as he bowed as if ending a great performance. “Now if you will excuse me I have a very important appointment with a slab of steak!” the man said as he started to walk away.
"I'm afraid there are holes in your story" Tomias countered "it doesn't explain the Dragon claw marks or all the blood" he lowered his head and glared at the human with a piercing stare that seemed to look into the strangers very soul, his eyes narrowed "you are not as you appear to be....are you?" he said slowly.
The man paused and glanced back at Tomias, “Very powerful magic,” the man insisted, “conjured beasts, tore the men to shreds and ate them before the magic was dispelled, it was quite gruesome I assure you, you don’t want all of the details,” the man said with a tone that insisted that Tomias stop probing.
Tomias turned his head to the side and shot a blast of crystal fire onto a small clearing "let's see if what you say is true" he said in a tone of grim determination as he proceeded to draw the circle of truth as he had done twice before earlier that day.
The man raised an eyebrow as Tomias began his work, “oh good, some entertainment before dinner,” he remarked as he sat on a rock and waited, “I’m sure I’m going to enjoy the look on your face,” he added as he settled in.
Tomias sontinued to drag his claw from the center of the flame outwards, slowly using the flame to carve out dragon runes in white flame on the ground, all the while he was muttering an ancient dragon language, he eyes never wavering from the center of the fire circle he was creating, the whole time the crystal flames followed his trail forming the characters in the ancient language of the dragons, soon it was complete, the crystals danced about in the white blaze, with the very center devoid of fire. he looked at the human "this is the circle of truth, my own creation, it will reveal exactly what happened here, so if you'd like to correct any parts of your tale, feel free to do so now"
“Yeah I gathered from what you were muttering before, and no I’m not changing my story, because watching it will be far more entertaining, I haven’t seen good magic like this in a long time,” the man said as he began to resemble a small child, eagerly awaiting the show to begin.
"so you understand the Draconic tongue" Tomias said with small smile "impressive, for a human" he then looked at the circle and said in a clear voice "what happened here?" the blaze flashed brightly as the shards shot towards the center, forming a large pure white crystal that floated in mid air, images formed in the crystal, first: the human being surrounded by bandits the human seemed calm as the bandits approached, then the image changed to the human transforming into a large dragon who proceeded to attack the bandits before returning to human form and walking away as if nothing had happened, then the crystal went blank, Tomias looked at the human "a transformed dragon..." he said in quiet shock.
“Oh, I've picked it up here and there, and as I said, powerful magic, and conjured beasts,” the man said with a smirk, “now I should be going,” he said as he reached into a log and pulled out a large sack, “I don’t want to get there after all the steaks are gone,” he said as he put the sack over his shoulder and started walking away.
An arrow landed infront of the human, at his feet, digging deep into the ground. "I said don't move!" Kailiza said, as she readied her bow again with not one but three arrows.
Tomias watched the human "you are a dragon, not a human" Tomias said as he raised himself up to his full height "that is obvious enough, it's uncommon for a Dragon to assume a human form, but not unheard of, as you well know Kailiza" he said to the half-elf secretly pointing out the fact that her father was a dragon who assumed a human form to be with her mother.
Kailiza nodded, keeping her bow and three arrows on the 'human'.
The stranger paused and looked down at the arrow now between his feet, “So, what do you plan to do with me then?” the man asked as he turned around, addressing both Tomias and Kailiza, “you’ve figured me out for what I am, yet I am clearly no threat to either of you, so will you let me be on my way or are you going to try and kill me as well?” the man asked curious as to their plans for his fate.
"I never sought your life" Tomias said solomnly "I mearly wished to know the truth of what had happened here so as to appease the fears of the villagers" he gestured to the other human who had seen all that had happened "as long as you are no threat to those who reside here, there is no reason to detain you" he turned to Kailiza "we should get back to the others, the mission to save Jaren and stop Tagen cannot begin without us" he spread his wings and lowered himself so Kailiza could climb on his back.
Kailiza leapt to his back.
The stranger nodded to the villager, who seemed more scared of him now than earlier, “Well, good luck on your journey, I hear Tagen’s volcano fortress is a very dangerous place, be sure to bring plenty of aloe,” the man cautioned as he adjusted his pack and started walking again. “If it’s any consolation, last I saw, Jaren was still alive, hope that helps,” the man said without turning around.
Tomias glared at the human and in a single step brought his right arm crashing down in front of the humans path "how do you know this?" he asked in a low growl.
Kailiza steadied herself after the movement.
“Why do you ask, is this not known to you?” the stranger asked, “I was down in the area of the valley of flames and in need of a place to stay. Not wanting to attract attention I assumed the form of a mouse, believe it or not, and stayed a few days in Tagen’s fortress, and I saw a human there who was referred to as Jaren. He’s stubborn, and has a strong will, so he hasn’t told Tagen everything he wants to know, yet,” the man explained, “Can I go eat my steak now?” he asked as he pointed in the direction of one of the villages.
Tomias eyed him closely "if you had been where you claim to have been, why did you not help free Jaren when you had the opportunity?" his eyes narrowed.
Kailiza readied her bow and arrows again.
“I didn’t know who he was, and for that matter what was going on,” the stranger assured Tomias, “I was merely passing through and didn’t want to get myself involved, besides, I’ve also heard that Tagen isn’t always the greatest host, as he tends to eat those who overstay their welcome," the man finished, “and are you ever going to shoot me? Really? I think you’re string will break before you actually release an arrow,” the stranger mocked.
"Don't tempted me, sir..." she growled, her elven ears twitching.
The stranger looked at her for a moment before speaking, “despite my being a dragon, I really am no threat to you,” he tried to assure the group, “unless you fire that arrow, then things may get interesting, so keep it in your quiver,” the man suggested. Turning to Tomias the man bowed, “I am called Sebastian,” he said as he removed his hat, “and I’m sure that all the steaks are gone now, so I guess it will be gruel tonight,” he sighed.
Kailiza kept her eyes and bow trained on Sebastian, she trusted Tomias more than anyone, and she had just met him. Sebastian wasn't going to get her trust that quickly.
Tomias looked at the 'human' with an appraising expression "I apologize for holding you up, but if you had been more forthcoming to begin with, this would have been over with much sooner" he said calmly.
“And if you had believed me in the first place we would both be on our way to our perspective destinies. Matter of curiosity, how is it exactly that you were planning to rescue your friend, or whatever he is to you?” Sebastian asked frankly, “Forgive the boldness of my question, but I thought that perhaps the information I have as to the layout of Tagen’s lair, you would appreciate, both the charming company of another dragon as well as the advantage of knowing where Jaren is,” Sebastian offered, “and all I ask for is a steak dinner, fair?”
Tomias concidered this for a moment "it....seems fair enough" he replied as he lowered himself again "unless you wish to fly on your own, climb on"
Sebastian didn’t say a word, but suddenly his form shifted into a dragon with shiny scales, the same size as Tomias, “thank you, but I think I’ll fly under my own power,” Sebastian said with a smirk. Sebastian’s scales all looked like small mirrors, reflecting everything around him, it was a wonder as to why he didn’t remain in a dragon form all the time, for his beauty came second only to that of the crystal dragon Tomias. Sebastian reached down and picked up the sack he’d been carrying, which now looked more like a small grocery bag in his hand now, “Lead on, and I shall follow,” Sebastian said with a nod once he’d collected his things.
Kailiza shouldered her bow, and stored her arrows, preparing for the flight.
Tomias nodded "as you wish" he lowered his head as he spread his wide, bright wings, with a single sweep he was airborne and soaring skyward, he leveled his head with the rest of his body and lead Sebastian towards the mountain camp where the others were undoubtably ready to head out.
Kailiza held onto Tomias as he flew. She was well balanced but didn't wish to slip now.
